The price of a necklace in a jewellery showroom is $5000.

During Christmas, the price of the necklace was marked down by 35%.

As a result, the amount of profit that a showroom makes for each necklace sold is reduced to $750.

(a) What is the cost price of the necklace?

(b) If a 7% GST was charged on all items sold in the jewellery shop, how much would Sally have to pay for 1 necklace during the sale?
